Job Opening Annoucement
The Crestwood School District is currently accepting applications for Daily Substitute Teachers.- GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment.
- ESSENTIAL TASKS: Provide instruction to the students of the assigned classroom in conjunction with the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students Follow the established routines and procedures of the classroom to which assigned Adhere to all policies, rules and procedures to which teachers are subject Ensure that a safe and orderly learning environment is maintained Work cooperatively with all school personnel Remains at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by building principal. Perform other duties as assigned
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret lesson plans technical procedures, and textbooks. Ability to write general correspondence. Ability to present information effectively and respond appropriately to questions and concerns from individuals, administrators, parents and students.
- QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification A valid Pennsylvania Criminal Record check (ACT 34) A valid Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (ACT 151) A valid FBI Criminal History Record Check
