    Distinguished Alumni Award

Mission Statement

  • The Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 2020 to honor select graduates of
    Crestwood High School, Fairview High School, or White Haven High School.

    Recipients are individuals who have achieved success in their field of endeavor and/or have had a
    positive influence on the students and community of the Crestwood School District.

    The Inaugural Class of Distinguished Alumni included three (3) recipients and were
    honored in the Fall of 2021.

Eligibility of the Nominee

    1. Must have graduated from Crestwood High School, Fairview High School, or
      White Haven High School and must have graduated at least 10 years prior to
      being recognized.
    2. Must have excelled in his/her career, and/or achieved local, statewide, national,
      or international recognition.
    3. Must have high moral standards and serve as a role model for our youth and
      demonstrate that goals are achieved through persistence, dedication, and
      knowledge.
    4. Any attendee, regardless of sex, color, race, national origin or sexual orientation,
      is eligible for nomination.
    5. An eligible candidate who is deceased may be nominated for consideration as a
      Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.

Selection Process

  • Nominations for the class of 2024 must be submitted by 1/15/2024

    A 7-person selection committee was appointed by the Crestwood Board of Education.

    This committee is responsible for:

    • Identifying Candidates for the Award
    • Promoting the award and encouraging the public to submit nominations
    • Deliberating the qualifications of the nominee
    • Making Final Recommendations of Award Recipients to the Board of Education
      for Final Approval

Recognition Ceremony

  • Each award winner will be honored at an in-school assembly annually. Crestwood’s student body, faculty, administration and Board of Directors will all be invited to attend. 

    A plaque will be presented to the award Recipient that will be displayed prominently in the High School.  A lunch or dinner will also be held to honor the award recipients.



  • 100% of the costs of this program are funded through sponsorships, private donations and dinner ticket sales. No tax-payer money is spent on this program.
